The cost of a crown is based on the type of crown your tooth needs. We like to look at the individual and give you the fee that best represents your situation.
Your gum health is very important. It is the pathway to the rest of your body, including your heart. When your body reacts to the bacteria in the mouth it causes inflammation, bleeding and bone loss. Bacteria, when not removed, can cause inflammation within 90 days and thus we recommend some people be seen every 3 months.
There are certain dental situations which require the patient to be seen by a specialist. The most frequent specialist for young adults would be an oral surgeon who they see to have their wisdom teeth removed. There are a number of specialists that place implants and do complicated root canal procedures. You and Dr. Khetarpal will decide if a specialist is needed in order to complete your individualized treatment plan.
Your first visit with the dentist is very important. We will address all of your concerns and set expectations for your treatment outcome. We want to spend time to get to know you and this can take anywhere from 1-2 hours. Depending on the complexity of the case we may or may not have time to clean your teeth the same day. If we run out of time during your initial visit, we can schedule you for a follow-up to see one of our amazing dental hygienists.
There can be many reasons why a tooth hurts when you chew. The best way to figure out why you are having pain would be to set up an appointment with Dr. Khetarpal to take an x-ray. The x-ray can reveal if there is an infection or if the tooth is fractured. Based on the finding Dr. Khetarpal can help you solve the problem and find a solution that will keep you healthy for years to come.
Did you know that dentists are sometimes the first ones to diagnose diabetes? Your oral cavity is the pathway to your body. When we see inflammation in your mouth it is a red flag that there is something going on in your body. We have seen amazing results with patients when they take control of their diabetes and reduce inflammation in their mouth. It is essential that your primary care physician and dentist are on the same path to keep you healthy.
Your dental team is trained to treat inflammation of the mouth. Scientists know that inflammation (or swelling) leads to hardened arteries, also called atherosclerosis. That’s a condition that makes it more difficult for blood to flow to your heart. It puts you at greater risk for heart attack and stroke.
